The Society of Construction Law Bangladesh (SCLB) is a non-profit non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental professional platform dedicated to promoting the study and practical advancement of construction law in Bangladesh. The Society serves as a central forum for lawyers, engineers, academics, arbitrators, and professionals engaged in the construction and infrastructure sectors. As a nexus of academic discourse and professional development, the Society caters the need of the Stakeholder through organizing international conferences, symposia, lectures, international conferences and legal education programs, both at national and international levels.

Instituted by Advocate Mr. Mohiuddin Abdul Kadir in 2018, the Society of Construction Law Bangladesh (SCLB) is dedicated to promoting public benefit, education, study, and research in the field of construction law and related subjects. SCLB extends its reach both within Bangladesh and overseas, fostering a community of professionals engaged in the construction Law sector.
Aim & Objectives
The Society’s aim and objectives are to promote education, study, and research in construction law and related subjects in Bangladesh and overseas. To achieve this, it engages in various activities, including organizing conferences, seminars, exhibitions, scholarships, courses, lectures, and social events. The Society facilitates research, disseminates information on construction law, establishes relationships with similar organizations, provides legal advice and assistance, promotes settlement of construction disputes through arbitration, conciliation, and ADR, maintains a reference library, and collaborates with domestic and international organizations. It also undertakes missions to foreign countries, employs necessary personnel, manages properties, and conducts all lawful activities conducive to its objectives.
